helping you find harmony
About Me
My name is Kyle Evans. I started Massage School at the height of the pandemic in the summer of 2020 and graduated in 2021. I was looking for a career that was more engaging than sitting at a desk and more meaningful than mixing cocktails, and most importantly one where I wouldn't have to work for someone else for 40 hours a week. I found that there were some deeply beautiful and meaningful components to massage, especially in how touch can be used to connect to emotions. That passion lead me to take Myofascial release and Craniosacral therapy electives and continuing education classes, and eventually leading me to take my first Somatic Experiencing course in the summer of 2022.
I believe that my role as a therapist is not fix people, or even to heal them. Between myself and the client I'm treating, the client is the healer since they're the one healing. My role is to hold a safe, nonjudgmental space and guide the body's natural healing processes to restore and maintain balance and peace. I believe that peace, gentleness, and being listened to and seen are some of the most powerful tools we have for rehabilitation from physical and emotional pain, and I strive to embody that in each session. There can be great power in gentleness, and I try to always be as gentle as is effective for my clients.
When I'm not working or educating myself I enjoy working out, yoga, playing piano or guitar, dancing, singing, going to EDM and rock shows, and flow arts (which means spinning stuff, sometimes stuff that's on fire!!)
